Radon testing
A continuous monitor on the lowest level that could be used regularly, read every hour for at least 48 hours. The written result comes the day we collect it.
★★★★★ 4.9 rating, over 4,000 reviews NRSB-certified technicians Serving Baltimore City
A radon test in Baltimore is $185, or $175 when it is added to a home inspection. That is the whole price: both visits, the monitor for the full 48 hours, and the written report with every hourly reading in it. The residential rate applies to one Baltimore City dwelling. Give the unit, entrance and property-contact details when a building contains many residences.
Day 1
Drop-off
A technician places it on the lowest level that could be used regularly, following EPA placement limits and the intended use of the space, inside a two-hour arrival window. With a home inspection, placement happens during the inspection visit.
48 hours
The house stays closed
For a short-term real-estate test, EPA guidance calls for closed-building conditions for at least 12 hours before the test and throughout the measurement. Windows stay closed, exterior doors open only for normal entry and exit, and the monitor logs hourly readings that help document the test conditions during the minimum 48-hour measurement.
Day 3
Pick-up and report
A technician picks the monitor up in another two-hour window and pulls the full record on the spot. The written report reaches you the same day.
NRSB-certified technicians. Our own team, certified by the National Radon Safety Board, not a subcontractor.
EPA testing guidance. Placement, closed-house conditions and the 48-hour minimum follow it, and your average is read against the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L.
Continuous monitors. Airthings Corentium Pro instruments, logging every hour for the whole test.
Appointment times are requests until our team confirms them. What the number means, how to prepare the property and the eight questions everyone asks are on the radon testing page; this page is about Baltimore.
A Baltimore City address needs a measurement in the actual dwelling, whether it is a rowhouse, apartment or condo. A citywide or Maryland radon map cannot tell a buyer the indoor level at one address. In a rowhouse, explain how the basement or lower level is used, including any room planned as an office or bedroom. In a condo, identify the private unit and its entry requirements rather than using a neighboring unit's result.
For a Baltimore radon appointment, give us the full address, unit number and an authorized contact for placement and collection. The monitor remains for at least 48 hours while occupants follow closed-house instructions. Mention a separately occupied basement apartment, active repairs or a controlled-entry building before booking. If the test is part of a sale, share the contract deadline so both visits and the written report can be scheduled.

Where we test in Baltimore, and what to tell us
Fells Point, Federal Hill and Canton
For a rowhouse, clarify whether a lower level is part of the booked dwelling.
Bolton Hill and Mount Vernon
In a divided building, specify the apartment and its authorized entry contact.
Harbor-area condos
Provide building, desk and unit access instructions for placement and collection.
We do not install radon systems, so we have nothing to gain from your number. If the result is at or above the EPA action level of 4.0 pCi/L, you choose who fixes it. Once the system is in, we can test again and tell you what it reads.
Maryland's residential disclosure framework includes radon among the hazardous or regulated materials covered by an owner's actual knowledge for certain single-family residential property of four or fewer units. The statute has enumerated exemptions and does not itself require a radon test. County and municipal requirements may differ, so check the rules for the property's location and type before relying on an existing result.
Md. Real Property section 10-702. Current as of September 2026. General information, not legal advice.
No. A county map or another property's report cannot establish the indoor level of a city residence. Test the booked home or unit.
Describe the lowest room used or suitable for regular use, including a basement room a buyer plans to occupy. The technician selects the location under the testing protocol.
Tell us before booking. A separate residence may need its own testing scope, access and price rather than sharing the main home's result.
Provide the building and unit number, desk or elevator rules, and a contact who can admit the technician for setup and pickup after at least 48 hours.
