Northern Virginia Community College’s Medical Education Campus (MEC) is also located in Springfield. MEC was the first specialized community college campus in the area where students can learn in a highly sophisticated technological environment with dental clinics and a clinical practice site for nursing and healthcare students. The college also offers courses to high school students who are interested in the health care profession as well as health care providers who are seeking to expand their knowledge.
